The City of Sarasota

Sarasota is a city south of Tampa and North of Naples on Florida’s Gulf Coast that was once the home of the Ringling Brothers Circus. The city is renowned for its cultural and environmental amenities, beaches, resorts, and beautiful skyline. It is many times ranked as the best place for people of all ages to live in Florida – second to Naples. More recently, it is ranked as one of the top places to live in the US.

Downtown living in Sarasota can feel very much like living in a much larger city with luxury condominium living, upscale shopping and restaurants, and walkability. Because the city resides on Sarasota Bay, many of the high rises host a beautiful view of the water. The town’s population is 58,000. Residents can enjoy single-family homes that do not have a “cookie cutter’ look or high-rise condominium living. Most schools in Sarasota and Sarasota County are “A” rated.

Downtown Sarasota is where I do my boutique shopping for unique clothing and home decor. The restaurants are interesting, and many have top chefs. I love the metropolitan vibe of the city and the condominiums rise high above with a very luxurious feel. Many new high-rise condominiums are highly sought after with prices over $ 1 million.

Every condominium complex has different amenities, parking, views, and plans, so you must know the ends and outs of each building to make the right choice My favorite single-family home neighborhood downtown is Laurel Park. Laurel Park has a tropical feel and is a mix of bungalows and new construction. There are also cafes and boutiques here. Home prices are typically from $600K and up.
