Bradenton, Florida is the county seat of Manatee County. Bradenton is called the “Friendly City”. Much of Bradenton is located directly on the Manatee River or Braden River. Because Bradenton is surrounded by both salt water and fresh water, there are a lot of fishing and boating activities among the residents. Bradenton has boating, rural, and a little bit of urban going on.
In 2020, Bradenton, Florida had a population of 55,000, in 2022, it will grow to 65,000 friendly people. Bradenton, Florida is 17 miles wide and deep and formerly includes Lakewood Ranch. Because Bradenton is so large geographically, most separate it into regions: Metropolitan Bradenton, South Bradenton, and West Bradenton.
Downtown Bradenton is mainly dedicated to hospitals and government things. West Bradenton has an “old Florida” beachy feel as it is very near Anna Maria Island. There are still a lot of areas in Bradenton where you can acquire larger lot sizes or vacant land. What I like most about Bradenton is that there is so much diversity of prices and types of properties and neighborhoods.
Each pocket of Bradenton is distinctly different—some newly updated –some old Florida and older construction. Of all the places in Bradenton, I like to show my clients Northwest Bradenton where you can get on the water or near the water at a cheaper price point over the barrier islands. Let me show you around each pocket of Bradenton, I know there is something for everyone. My favorite Bradenton restaurants include Château 13 and the Star Fish Market. Bradenton schools are not as highly rated as Sarasota or Lakewood Ranch.
