Downtown

Many of my buyers are looking for walkability and convenience. They want to be near restaurants, nightlife, and culture. Sarasota is complex and changing quickly. Venice is historical and quaint. Bradenton has a more civic feel. It is important that you work with an agent that know the infrastructure, streets, and best locations. Let Realty Mere show you around!

Bradenton, Florida is the county seat of Manatee County. Bradenton is called the “Friendly City”. Much of Bradenton is located directly on the Manatee River or Braden River. Because Bradenton is surrounded by both salt water and fresh water, there are a lot of fishing and boating activities among the residents. Bradenton has boating, rural, and a little bit of urban going on.

Sarasota is a city south of Tampa and North of Naples on Florida’s Gulf Coast that was once the home of the Ringling Brothers Circus. The city is renowned for its cultural and environmental amenities, beaches, resorts, and beautiful skyline. It is many times ranked as the best place for people of all ages to live in Florida – second to Naples. More recently, it is ranked as one of the top places to live in the US.

Venice is 12 miles south of downtown Sarasota. The city of Venice includes what locals call “Venice Island”, a portion of the mainland that is accessed via bridges over the Intracoastal Waterway. Venice has a population of 25,000 people. Many people view Venice as an “off-shoot” of the city of Sarasota, but Venice is quite different from the sophisticated feel that Sarasota owns.

Parrish is an unincorporated community in northwestern Manatee County. Because of its great location and the fact that it is not an incorporated town, Parrish is viewed as a suburb of Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, and St. Petersburg, Florida. Parrish is 11 miles northeast of Bradenton, 14 miles north of Lakewood Ranch, and 17 miles southeast of St. Petersburg, Florida. Parrish has 26,000 people but is growing quickly.
