Terra Ceia, located in Palmetto Florida in Manatee County, is a hidden gem.More than two-thirds of the island is a nature preserve. I am not a huge fan of Palmetto as it has a higher crime rate than the other communities that I am focus on, but Terra Ceia Bay does not have that problem. It is located on Terra Ceia Island which is a beautiful islandthat is surrounded by 5 bodies of water, one of which is Terra Ceia Bay. Much of the architecture in Terra Ceia is Key West style on lots of an acre or more. Many homes have waterfront docks with access to Terra Ceia Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Nestled on the island is Terra Ceia Bay Country Club.
Terra Ceia Bay Country Club is an18 hole golf and country club located in Palmetto, Florida. The Terra Ceia Bay course is challenging, beautiful, and well-maintained. The club is also home to clay tennis courts and pickleball courts. Average home prices in Terra Ceia are over $1.5 Million. Terra Ciea kids will attend Palmetto public unless their parents choose to charter them or pay for private. St. Joseph Catholic School, West Coast Christian Academy, Alexander Montessori School, Palmetto Bay Academy, Palmetto Charter School, and Imagine Charter Schools are a few of the most popular private and charter examples. Public schools for Palmetto are Coral Reef Elementary, Howard Drive Elementary, Dr. Henry E. Perrine Academy of the Arts, Southwood Middle School, and the only public high school, MaimiPlametto Senior High School.
