Casey Key is a barrier island off the coast of Southwest Florida and directly West of Nokomis, Florida. Although Casey Key is very “old Florida”, it is also very exclusive. Located South of Sarasota and North of Venice, this charming beach town and island community looks like a postcard. We must use median real estate prices on this island, not average, as some homes are in the tens of millions. If you are looking for an exclusive private home with direct gulf access, Casey Key is a hidden gem.
Living on Casey Key may be out of reach for most, but visiting Casey Key is not. Parking on the Casey Key/Nokomis beach is free! The beaches on Casey Key are not sugary, but a little bit “shelly”, however, the beaches are less quiet. My favorite restaurant on Casey Key is the Casey Key Fish House. Casey Key Fish House has boat access and waterfront dining.
