      How can I win against a cash offer?

      Your agent should know if the owner will only take a cash offer. If you are financing, do not enter a situation where the seller only wants cash. It is a waste of everyone’s time.       Who pays the Realtors commission in a buying transaction?

      The seller or the builder pays the commission. The buyer does not. Therefore, as a buyer why would you not work with the best realtor you can find: Realty Mere?

      Do I need to get a home inspection?

      Always get a home inspection. Do not waive an inspection—even with new construction. I encourage a home inspection to protect my buyer.

      What is homesteading?

      Florida’s homestead exemption laws are one of the many attractive features of living in the Sunshine State. The Homestead exemption law takes your home appraisal down to save you on property taxes. You must reside in Florida for 6 months and 1 day per year to qualify.       Besides the price of the home how do I calculate the total cost of ownership?

      Buyers must understand, taxes, homeowner’s association, insurance, utilities, landscaping, pool maintenance, and a variety of other costs to maintain the home. Know all costs up front. It is not fun to be “house poor”.

      If I am looking for a rental, for example to learn the area before buying a house, will Realty Mere help me?
